Challenge
Offering private liveaboard sail/dive adventures in the Caribbean, the core challenge was to create a memorable brand from the ground up, setting it above the vast sea of charter yacht options. An industry where brokered yachts list by name of yacht as opposed to business name while using the same “brand less” theme on every broker site. It was clear that this current structuring within the charter yacht industry was a path to loss of potential customers and a lack of brand recognition within the marketplace.
Solution
The solution was anything but ordinary. It started with crafting the brand name to represent both yacht and business, a name that could live as a simple url across all platforms including yacht broker listings, social listings and the brand website. Alongside the brand was a consistent message offering brand clarity and imparting a memorable impression, setting CruiseNautic apart in the industry as a boutique, luxury adventure brand.
Process
It all began with the search for an ownable, simple name paired with a tagline that would impart intrigue while concisely describing CruiseNautic’s unique offerings. Completing the inspiration of our brand dreamscape, we designed in tones of Caribbean sea blues; modern typography reminiscent of old nautical typefaces; tone that speaks with a wink as if you were already an insider on this adventure; photography and videos immersing you into just where you’d like to be dipping your toes in the water; and a nod to The Life Aquatic as a salute to the great adventure.
