Challenge
This promotional savings website for General Mills (GMI) products within Publix was in need of a refreshed identity and layout to provide greater flexibility to house a vast array of event campaigns. The challenge, provide a broader system of modular options for event campaign build outs and improve the user experience.
Solution
A new website was created with a modular design, offering a broad array of event campaign build options. New interactive features were added to improve the user experience including recipe pages with a variety of sort features, videos and improved ease of use with coupon offerings. The logo and page designs were refreshed into a minimal design approach allowing the varied looks of each campaign event to shine.
Process
Beginning with a refreshed logo, our core template is designed in tones of grey with the sole use of Publix signature green. Adding texture sparingly, reminiscent of coupon savings, we implemented a clean surround allowing the varied event campaigns to live as the prominent features within this site. Built with a modular structure, flexible event campaign pages were designed to include elements such as coupons, recipes and video. Event page colors, backgrounds and typography could also be customized to align with each campaign. The end design provides a flexible and broad system for creating new diverse events within the website.
